Game Day

Tara, John, Jimmy and I got up early and attended The Walk before the OSU game.  The coaches and players walk from the Student Union to the stadium.  Lots of fans lining the street cheering on the team.

Jimmy, Tara and John.

Here they come!

Head coach Gundy

After The Walk, we headed toward the Alumni Center near the Student Union.  Along the way, John and Tara saw a guy standing alone next to a tailgating tent.  Turned out the "guy" was Carl Tipton.  He was warming up in the sun.  Chatted with him for a few minutes.  Good to see him.

Tara, Jimmy and John checking out the OSU history in Heritage Hall of the Alumni Center.

We left the Alumni Center and headed toward Chris' University Spirit store to check out some souvenirs.  The Spirit Rider was working Bullet on the lawn south of the Alumni Center.

OSU Marching Band playing before the game.

Play ball! Good view of the stadium from our seats.  First time I ever sat on the south side.  As we were walking into the stadium, a good friend of ours came up to us.  Jim and Patty Rich along with their daughter Miranda and her friend has season ticket seats in the row directly behind us.  What are the odds of that happnening?! <=== (what are the odds of me knowing how to spell happening?)

Caught Pete just before he made the "U" during his "OSU" cheer.

Miranda and her friend paying close attention to the game.

We all had a great time.  Glad to see the Pokes seriously dominate Baylor.  When we got home, Debbie had made a huge dinner.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, German potato salad, vermicelli salad, layer dip, baked beans and homemade ice cream.  Yum.  Played some ladder golf in the back yard.  Jeremy and John won against Jimmy and I.  I believe there were some shenanigans.  Evie and Maggie wanted to watch a movie.  While I was inside putting a DVD in the player, Jeremy and John "won" the game.  mmmhmmm.

Good day.  Already planning for Jimmy to come back to Stillwater next season for another game.  Jimmy wants to add a person to our group each time he comes back.  Great idea.  If we do this long enough, we might fill up the stadium!
