Happy birthday to our middle child, Megan. Twenty three years old today. It seems like only yesterday that you were born. It seems like only yesterday that you were sitting on the front porch with a lap full of kittens. You have grown into a beautiful young woman. We are very proud of you and love you very much.

Seems like only yesterday she got her nose stuck on the wire in hose on the batting tee.

I don't think I know the AfgHanistan story...
When Megan was in junior high, maybe middle school, she was friends with Christin Phillips. I was taking them to school or had just picked them up from school, can't remember which. Anyway, they were in the back seat talking about a geography test and having to spell the names of various countries. One of the countries was Afghanistan. They were talking about the spelling and I believe neither of them could remember at the moment how it was spelled. Megan said (in a Valley Girl voice), "There is an "H" in there somewhere." I almost died laughing and it still cracks me up. Megan gets ticked off at me about the story, but it's one of my favorites. hee hee
I believe Megan might have said, "There is, like, an "H" in there somewhere." Not sure about the "like" but it makes the story better. heeheehee
