We were going to Tara's this weekend to visit. The snow put the kibosh on that. Tara got 5 inches of snow overnight. It is snowing right now in OKC and has been all morning. No real accumulation here, but still... it is snowing again. More is forecast for Saturday nite and Sunday. Another big snow storm is forecast for Monday through Wednesday next week. Crazy weather.
Guess we'll try to go one of the next couple of weekends to see Tara.
Stay warm everyone!!!!

Still snowing
I think. It is hard to tell if it is snowing or just blowing snow. The wind is really blowing hard. Some of the drifts are over a foot deep. Watching the weather reports, it appears that Stillwater did not get as much snow as surrounding areas. We got 4 or 5 inches so far. There is at least a foot of snow everywhere around us. Amazing.
Blowing snow
The snow is blowing around and this is what it did on the neighbor's window. Looks like someone made a circle.
The Big Snow
Well, not so much yet. But it is COLD and the wind is BLOWING hard. It is 9 degrees and the wind chill is 8 below zero. Brrrrr. Looks like there is about 2 inches of snow on the ground as of 8 a.m. Debbie got up about 6 and she said there wasn't much snow at that time, so it is starting to pile up. Deb and I stayed home today. Yeah, I slept in this morning. I don't sleep until 7:30 or 8 very often. hee hee. Anyway, here are a couple of photos of what we have so far.
The snow is blowing off the roof and stuck to the bricks.
This is what we have just outside the front door.
For those who are north and east of us, get ready. It's headed your way. Stay warm!

Snow
The weather geeks are forecasting a bunch of snow in Oklahoma beginning later tonite and tomorrow morning. Up to 14 inches possible in Stillwater. The storm dumps snow here and then moves northeast to dump more in the areas where Karen and Sandra probably already have a bunch of snow. I guess hell is freezing over or something. It was 78 degrees on Saturday. The high will be around 15 tomorrow and Wednesday. That's just crazy.
Debbie and I were married on Feb 3, 1978. It snowed that week. I remember someone, probably Dan Mathis, tossing snowballs at us as we left the church after the wedding. Guess what? We'll have snow on the ground for our anniversary this coming Thursday. Why does that matter? Well, it doesn't really. I just thought of it. hee hee.
Have a great day and hope you have a warm place to ride out the storm.

Cool stuff
Eating lunch and surfing the www. Found some interesting photos.
Something old. Crumbling church somewhere in the world.
Something new. Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Tallest buildings in the world until 2004. The total height of the building is 1483 feet from the ground to the top of the needles. The World Trade Center towers were about 1365 feet tall.
I have no idea what this is, but it is cool.
Glen Canyon, Utah.
Double O Arch in The Arches National Park, Utah.
Arch somewhere near the ocean.
Cool place for lunch.
Warm afternoon spot.
Cold afternoon spot.
I can do without the ice in my drink, fella.
Wow.
Volcano somewhere in the Pacific. Hawaii perhaps. Another Wow.
Just cuz I like rhinos.
