As you might recall, we had deer grazing in our front yard a couple of times. Debbie purchased a large bag of corn for deer food. I put some in the front yard, but as far as I can tell the deer have not returned to our front yard to eat the corn. Megan or Kelsey told Debbie that they saw a doe and two smaller deer in the neighbor's front yard grazing. After that, I put some of the corn along the fence across the street from the house. The next evening I checked and all of the corn was gone. Last nite, I put more corn in the same area. This morning, all of the corn was gone. Apparently, the deer are finding the corn. Either that or some other corn-loving critter is having a great feast during the nite. I am tempted to put out some more corn tonite, don some cold-weather gear and hide in the trees to see what is eating the corn. Not sure how late into the nite I would have to wait. I'd likely fall asleep and scare away the corn-eating critters by snoring too loudly.
Hmmm.... I foresee another expedition similar to the "Arachnid Relocation Expedition"...
More updates to come.
