Missing Mass solved

An Australian student solved an astronomy problem that has puzzled scientists for decades.  Pretty cool discovery if you like astronomy stuff.  I have a feeling most people would rather find a solution to age old questions such as where is the needle in the haystack, what happens to missing socks and tupperware lids, where do those tiny medicine tablets go when you drop them on the floor and how many licks does it take to finish a Tootsie Roll-Pop?
