Fun Saturday.

Debbie and I went to Wichita yesterday to visit some antique stores.  Last year we passed through Wichita on our way back to Stillwater from Kansas City.  We found a huge store that we did not finish milling around in before it closed.  We have wanted to go back since.  We spent 3 hours in there yesterday.  Lots of stuff.  Debbie found another Whiting Davis necklace with earrings and ring.  She found a cool bracelet, too.  I found a few books.  We went to three other antique stores after that.  Long day but fun.

We saw several large cans for lard and shortening.  One of the cans looked like a 5 gallon can for shortening.  It was about 3 feet tall.  I wonder how tall it was before they put the shortening in it?

Debbie was looking at alot of jewelry.  Go figger.  Anyway, at the first place we went to, the person helping Debbie was asking about the Whiting Davis jewelry.  Debbie was telling her about it and the type of stones she likes.  Mother of Pearl.  Hematite.  Abalone.  When she said "abalone", all I could think of was, "My abalone has a first name. It's O-S-C-A-R.  My abalone has a second name.  It's M-A-Y-E-R."  Yeah, I was focused...

Hope everyone else had a good day.
