Eliza Thompson House - Bed and Breakfast in Savannah

Debbie and I stayed in a bed and breakfast near the south end of the Savannah Historic District.  Our first stay in a B&B and might not be our last.  The house was built in 1847 by Joseph and Eliza Thompson.  An addition was made in 1870.  The Thompson family owned the home until the 1920's.  The rooms surrounding the courtyard were added in the 1980's after the home was made into an inn by another family.

The parlor in the photos below.  This is where the B&B served hors d'oeurves, wine, desserts and coffee every evening for the guests.  Several of us would sit around and talk about restaurants, sights around town, family or whatever.  Fun time.

We stayed in one of the rooms near the courtyard.  Very nice room.
