I confused Eleanor, and maybe others, with my blog about seeing Pete's Place and Choc beer. Choc beer is not chocolate beer. Choc stands for "Choctaw". Choc beer is based on a beer recipe made by Choctaw Indians back in the Indian Territory days. Here is the link to the restaurant, Pete's Place. The guy that started the restaurant, Pete Prichard, made Choc beer for the coal miners in the McAlester area in the early 1900's. Eventually, Prichard started serving food with the beer. During prohibition, Prichard was convicted of bootlegging beer. Prichard's son started selling Choc beer (legally) in the mid-90s. Good beer in my opinion.
Sorry for the confusion, Eleanor.
